William "Billy Bob" Robert McGrann's Obituary
William Robert 'Billy Bob' McGrann died on Wednesday, January 18, 2006 at Bloomfield Care Center in Bloomfield, Iowa. He was born the son of John William and Helen (Poli) McGrann on January 14, 1937 in Mystic, Iowa. He received his education in the Mystic Community Schools.Billy Bob was united in marriage to Carol Van Dorn and later to Betty Hatfield and then was divorced. He had a varied career, he was a farmer, trucker and operated heavy machinery. Before his illness, he enjoyed spending time hunting and fishing. He was well known and had many friends in the county. He was also a member of the Mystic United Methodist Church.Billy Bob was preceded in death by: his parents; sister, Patty Lee; half-brother, Max McGrann; half-sister, Wilma Zaputil.He is survived by: his daughters, Debbie McGrann of Manson, Iowa and Peggy Seddon of Mystic, Iowa; son, Billy McGrann of Des Moines, Iowa and Bobby McGrann of Mystic, Iowa; step-daughter, Becky Wray of Numa, Iowa; step-son, Billy Hatfield of Numa, Iowa; sisters, Marjorie Pfannebecker and her husband, Derrill of Centerville, Iowa, Judy McDaniel and her husband, Steve of Mystic, Iowa; brother, John McGrann and his wife, Rose Adel, Iowa; half-sister, Nelma Fuller of Mystic, Iowa; several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.His body has been cremated and a Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2006 at 10:30 am at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Centerville with Pastor Bill Iammatteo'Code officiating. Burial of ashes will be at the Highland Cemetery in Mystic, Iowa.
