William George Lux's Obituary
William (Tippy) George Lux, age 62, of Centerville, Iowa, passed away Saturday, May 17th, 2025 at 12:25 a.m. at Iowa Lutheran in Des Moines, Iowa. He was born the son of Harry Leroy Lux and Beverly Jean Jackson on July 20th, 1962. He graduated from Davenport, Iowa.
William worked for the railroad for many years and retired from there as well. He was a jack of all trades and most of all a jokester. He enjoyed fishing, all of his grandkids, his kids, watching Westerns, and all of his friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Carl and Harry; his best friend of many years, Ronnie (Apache) Clark; his father-in-law, Mike Bradley; and most of all his dog, best friend, Punky.
William is survived by his children, Alyssa Martin, Caressa McCabe, William (Billy) Lux Jr., Shawn Lux, Steven Lux and his wife Dawn, Anyssa Thomas, Travis Lux and his girlfriend CJ, Tasha Bradley and her boyfriend Liedell, Virgil (Bub) Shondel III and his wife Chelsea, Michael Bradley Jr. and Patricia Shondel; his ex-wife, Tammy Lux and her husband Shawn; Jack, his brother from Washington; his two sisters from Davenport, Brenda his grandkids, Dylan, Natalie, Charlie, Kolton, Raven, Phoenix, Chloe, Little Chloe, Brenden, Joshua, Journey, Hayden, Serenity, Ian, Hazelyn, Avante, Andrae (Wee-man), Ayla, and many more grandkids, nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
Per wishes, cremation has been accorded. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00PM, Saturday, June 14, 2025 at Lelah Bradley Park (Centerville Reservoir) at the Shelter House.
