William Hopkins' Obituary
William Vance Hopkins Jr., 70, of Lake Wylie, S.C., died January 9, 2009, at Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House in Rock Hill, S.C.
Mr. Hopkins was born July 11, 1938, in Chicago, Ill., son of the late William Vance Hopkins Sr. and Helen Shaw Hopkins.
He attended the University of Iowa and Drake University. Mr. Hopkins was part owner of Hopkins Insurance Agency in Des Moines, Iowa. He was employed by Des Moines Metro Transit Authority. He was a professional photographer in Des Moines and Lake Panorama, Iowa and also in Lake Wylie, S.C.
He is survived by his daughter, Melissa Norris of Des Moines, Iowa; son, William T. Hopkins of Urbandale, Iowa; mother, Helen S. Hopkins of Lake Wylie, S.C.; sister, Jerene McClain of Lake Wylie, S.C. and three grandchildren, Joshua J. Long, Cory J. Norris and Bradi H. Wright.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Chapel Ridge Clubhouse, 6200 Clark Lane, Johnston, IA., Sunday January 25, 2009 from 2-4 P.M. Lange Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
