William Joe Clark's Obituary
W. Joe Clark, age 72 of Centerville, Iowa died Thursday, March 4, 2010 at Mercy Medical Center in Centerville.
Joe was born January 18, 1938, the son of Bill and Ruth (Hixenbaugh) Clark in Centerville, Iowa. He grew up in Plano and graduated from Centerville High School. He married Judith Katherine Butkovich July 30, 1959 in Camanche, Iowa. She preceded him in death on January 30, 1982. Joe was in the US National Guard for over twelve years. He worked for Mitchell and Chebuhar several years before going to work for Appanoose County driving a rock truck. Joe enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and was an avid Nascar fan.
Joe is survived by his children, Cheryl (Ronny) Kirkland of Centerville, Iowa, Joe (Tracy) Clark of Centerville, Iowa; grandchildren, Jennifer Kirkland of Cincinnati, Iowa, Amanda (Clint) Wells of Cincinnati, Iowa, Nathan Kirkland of Centerville, Iowa, Niki Brunning of Loveland, Colorado, Michael Clark, Dakota Clark and Zachary Clark all of Centerville, Iowa; a great grandchild, Leo Wells of Cincinnati, Iowa; siblings, Roger (Jill) Clark of Centerville, Iowa, and Bruce (Ruth) Clark of Centerville, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his wife and parents.
A Memorial service will be held 10:30 Wednesday morning, March 10, 2010 at Lange Funeral Home, Centerville with Pastor Kay Singley officiating. Interment of the cremains will follow at the Numa Cemetery, Numa, Iowa. A memorial has been established to the Continental St. Joe and may be left or mailed to the Lange Funeral Home.
