William Stanley Brown's Obituary
William Stanley Brown, age 81, of Centerville passed away Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at MercyOne Medical Center in Centerville.
William was born on March 7, 1942 in Nebraska, the son of Harry Lionel Brown and Margaret Elizabeth (Meisinger) Brown.
William worked for New Focus and cleaned apartments for the Department of Human Services. After retirement, he attended day habilitation services with Centerville Community Betterment for over 20 years.
You would often see William on his tricycle with his pipe riding throughout the streets of Centerville. If he wasn't riding his bike, he was doing his other favorite thing- fishing. William always had an infectious smile on his face, and would love to make others around him happy.
Left to honor his memory are his sister, Barbara Brown; and many extended family at Centerville Community Betterment.
William was preceded in death by his parents, Harry Brown and Margaret Lockman; his brother, Philip Brown; and his sisters, Judy Brown and Dorothy Brown.
Funeral services will be held at 10AM, Monday, July 3, 2023 at Thomas Funeral Home in Centerville with Larry Bettis officiating. Burial will follow the service at Mt. Ararat Cemetery, east of Centerville. Visitation will take place Monday, July 3, 2023 at Thomas Funeral Home in Centerville with family greeting friends from 9-10AM.
