William Bill Booth's Obituary
William ""Bill"" Booth, age 72 of Centerville, Iowa passed away Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa.
Bill was born June 12, 1939 in Centerville, Iowa, the son of Earl and Velma (Frazell) Booth. He grew up in the Udell area and graduated from Udell High School in 1958.
Bill worked for John Deere in Ottumwa, Iowa for thirty years and retired from there in 1993. He spent most of his working career with John Deere as a press operator. Bill worked in the inventory department in his final years with the company.
In his free time Bill enjoyed fishing, working on his cars, and playing his guitar. Furthermore, he played in a country music band for several years. Bill also enjoyed dancing.
Bill lettered as a male cheerleader with Udell High School. He cherished the time that he spent with his family, including his Pomeranian dogs. Bill loved his Pomeranian dog ""Angie"" just like she was another family member.
He was longtime member of the Eagle's Fraternal Order No 2675 in Centerville. Bill was also a member of John Deere Union UAW local 74.
He is survived by his wife Jeannie Booth of Centerville, Iowa; two children, Lisa (LeRoy) Brown of Centerville, Iowa and Tracy Booth; two grandchildren, Chelsey and Jacob Brown both of Centerville, Iowa; and a step-grandchild, Jamie Slayton of Centerville, Iowa.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Jeffery Dean Booth on June 16, 2000; two half sisters; and two aunts, Wanda Dooley and Elma Best.
