William "Bill" Edward Hogue's Obituary
William "Bill" Edward Hogue, age 83, of Plano, passed away Friday, January 19, 2024 at his home.
Bill was born on January 16, 1941 in Mt. Ayr, Iowa, the son of Francis and Pauline (Powell) Hogue. After graduating from high school, Bill enlisted in the United States Navy in 1958. He was honorably discharged in 1962 after faithfully serving his country.
Bill owned and operated two bars in the West Des Moines area- Ray Ann's 86th Street lounge and Hoguey's. Subsequently, he also worked at Firestone in Des Moines for 25 years before retiring. In his free time, Bill loved being outdoors. He enjoyed hunting and walleye fishing at Lake Erie in the summertime.
Left to honor Bill's memory are his children, Kelley Sue (Michael) Crawford and Kathryn Ann Fisher; his brother, Eldon (Karen) Hogue; as well as other family members including nieces and nephews.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Pauline Hogue; and his sister, Candace Sue Tucker.
Per Bill's wishes, cremation has been accorded and there will be no services held at this time.
