William "Bill" Everett Henderson's Obituary
William "Bill" Everett Henderson, age 73, of Centerville, passed away Sunday, August 10, 2025 at MercyOne Medical Center in Centerville.
Bill was born on May 12, 1952 in Centerville, Iowa, the son of Earl Everett Henderson and Goldie (Ray) Henderson. He graduated from Centerville High School with the Class of 1970. Bill joined the United States National Guard, and was honorably discharged after six years of service. He was united in marriage to Linda Bates on June 27, 1971, and to this union, three children were born, Josh, Travis, and Sonja.
Bill worked for several years at Rubbermaid in Centerville. During his retirement, Bill enjoyed working in his garden, hunting, spending time with his family and friends, watching westerns, taking care of his yard and listening to music in his garage. You knew where you stood when it came to Bill. He was very outspoken, but had a heart of gold and would help anyone he cared for.
Left to honor Bill's memory are his wife of 54 years, Linda Henderson; his children, Josh (Misty) Henderson, Travis (Ginger) Henderson, Sonja (A.J.) Hook; grandchildren, Madik Henderson, Vivie Henderson, Ivy Henderson, Josie Henderson, Lincoln Henderson, Lilly Henderson, Kole Hook, Avery Hook, and Ryker Hook; his sisters, Barbara Sulser, Debbie Barr, and Lynn (Roger) Bennett; sister-in-law, Mary Ann Henderson; as well as several extended family members and friends.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Goldie Henderson; and infant brother, Gary Henderson; his brother, James "Jim" Henderson; and his brothers-in-law, Steve Sulser and Darrel Barr.
Per Bill's wishes, cremation has been accorded. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00AM, Friday, August 15, 2025 at Thomas Funeral Home in Centerville. Burial will follow the service at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Cincinnati. Visitation will take place Friday, August 15, 2025 at Thomas Funeral Home with the family greeting friends from 10:00AM-11:00AM.
