Willette Curl's Obituary
Willette Belle Curl, age 86 of Centerville died Tuesday, February 8, 2005 at Mercy Medical Center, Centerville, Iowa.
Mrs. Curl was born May 28, 1918 in Ringold County, Iowa the daughter of Forrest D. Smith and Verna Allen Smith. Willette graduated from Kellerton High School, Kellerton, Iowa. She was married to Oran Jackson in Ringold Co in 1934 and married Lloyd Curl in Eureka Springs, Arkansas in 1957. After moving to Centerville in 1943 she delivered to homes, eggs and milk by horse drawn carriage working for Meadow Gold/Centrox Dairy, she was a telephone operator at Farringtons Telephone Company and owned Curls Machine Shop and Curls Ambulance Service.
She is survived by two sons Michael L. Jackson of Oskaloosa, Iowa and Raymond L. Jackson of Snow Hill, MD; 11 grandchildren, Kaylinda Jean Tipsword and her husband Gary of Peoria, IL, Raymond Eugene Jackson and his wife Janet of Chillicothe, MO, Pamela Irene Howland and her husband Glen of Lexington Park, MD, Michael Jackson Jr, and his wife Deb of Glenpool, OK, Carolyn Wade and her husband David of Carroll, IA, Mark Jackson and his wife Rachael of Vail, IA, Ryan, Brent and Brandon Jackson all of Oskaloosa, Nina Dawn Lakeburg and her husband Arvid of Rochester, NY, Tina Louise Dunham of Bay St. Louis, MS, 16 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild, a sister Audra Lea Baskins of St. Joseph, MO.
She was preceded in death by her husbands Oran and Lloyd, a daughter Linda Jackson and her parents, 1 brother and a sister.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Saturday Feb. 12, 2005 at the Thomas Lange Funeral Home, Centerville with Pastor Kay Singley officiating. Friends may call all day Friday with the family present from 6-8 PM at the funeral Home. Burial will be in the Maple Row Cemetery, Kellerton, Iowa. A memorial has been established in lieu of flowers to the Mercy Medical Center Hospice, Centerville Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star, and the Cancer Unit, Mercy Medical Center, Centerville and may be left or mailed to the Thomas Lange Funeral Home, PO Box 6, Centerville, Iowa 52544.
