Willa Jeane Cox, daughter of Roy and Golda Grimes, was born on July 9, 1929, in Allerton, Iowa. She passed away on December 11, 2012 at the Wayne County Hospital in Corydon, Iowa. Willa Jeane was united in marriage to Dean Freeman Cox on August 13, 1947, in Davenport, Iowa. They lived most their married life in the Wayne County area. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dean, son Larry Dale, parents Roy and Golda, father-in-law John Cox, mother-in-law Myrtle Cox, two sisters Evelyn Donald and husband Neil and Carolyn Donald and husband Ardys, two brothers Doyle and Alan Grimes, sister-in-law Lois Cox, son-in-law Bob Hysell, three nieces Dixie Alley, Connie Romoser and Patty Casey and nephew Jerry Cox. She is survived by one sister Vernita McEachern and husband Harold, sister-in-law Marilyn Grimes and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by brothers-in-law Vernon Cox, Daryl Cox and wife Hazel Dean, and Raymond Cox and wife Nellie and many nieces and nephews. Her three children Cheryl Christine Elston, Joyce Ann Hysell and Jeffrey Keene Cox, son-in-law Todd Elston, daughter-in-law Donna Cox and her grandchildren Aharon Elston, Trevor Elston, Shawn Elston, Travis Hysell, Megan Hysell, Rusty Hysell, Christopher Hysell, Jennifer Wilson and Josiah Cox and their respective spouses and 14 great grandchildren also survive Willa Jean. Interment will be at the Corydon Cemetery next to her beloved husband, Dean.
