Wilford Carl Davis' Obituary
Wildford Carl Davis, age 79, of Centerville, Iowa passed away Sunday, July 9, 2023 at Centerville Specialty Care in Centerville, Iowa.
Wilford was born on February 15, 1944 in Valera, Iowa, the son of Carl and Maxine (Childs) Davis. He graduated from Lincoln High School in Des Moines, Iowa with the Class of 1963. Soon after graduation, he started a family. He had several jobs throughout his lifetime, but the one job he enjoyed the most was being a garbage man.
Left to honor Wilford's memory are his children, Charles (Julie) Davis, Douglas (Andrea) Davis, Robin (Bill) Howe, and Nick Davis; his significant other of 28 years, Lisa Calhoun; 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Jack (Donna) Davis.
Wilford was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Maxine Davis; his son, Tracy (Teresa) Davis; two brothers, Wayne Davis and Tom Davis; and two sisters, Wyvonna Terry and Linda Smith.
Per wishes, cremation has been accorded. The family will be doing a private Celebration of Life in Centerville on July 29th, 2023.
