Wendell B Wages' Obituary
Wendell Dean Wages, 77 passed away at the University of Iowa on Sunday, July 2, 2023 at 7:00am.
He was born April 15, 1946 to Roy & Edna in his hometown of Exline, Iowa.
He is survived by his daughters, Dawn (Robert) Tomlin of Ottumwa, Iowa, DeEtta (Joe) Yerington of Muscatine, Iowa, Sisters: Marilyn Sherbonda of Davenport, Iowa, Diana (Everet) Lamb of Davenport, Iowa, Brother: Lee (Jean) Wages of Dayton, Nevada, Grandchildren: Austin (Tayle) Bakalar of Princeton, Missouri, Cory (Shelby) Sines of Wapello, Iowa, Jasmine Boney & Gabe Johnson of Marion, Iowa, Clayton (Cassie) Yerington of Winfield, Iowa, Carolann (Nathan) Poe of Albia, Iowa, Alicen (Randy) Daniels of Ottumwa, Iowa, Landen Boney & Mason Tomlin both of Ottumwa, Iowa, Great-grandchildren: Kennedy, Ashten, Aubrey, Wyatt and all his nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy & Edna Wages, Brothers: Laverne Wages, Gary Wages, Sisters: Carletta West, Jenny Weggen, Evelyn Henderson, Juanita Carlstrom, Shirley Herring and Eva June Wages.
Funeral services will be held at 11AM, Friday, July 7, 2023 at Thomas Funeral Home in Centerville, Iowa with Pastor Gayle Pickens officiating. Burial will follow at Exline Cemetery. Visitation will take place Friday, July 7, 2023 at Thomas Funeral Home in Centerville with the family greeting friends from 9-11AM.
