Wayne Eugene Veach's Obituary
Wayne Eugene Veach, age 75, of Centerville, passed away Wednesday, October 5, 2022 at Golden Age Care Center with his wife by his side.
Wayne was born on June 11, 1947 in Livonia, Missouri, the son of John and Effie Collene (Rowland) Veach. He graduated from Rockford Illinois High School and continued his education with two years of college.
Wayne served his country faithfully for two years in Vietnam with the United States Army. He was honorably discharged. On November 3, 1973, Wayne was united in marriage to Shirley Irene Williams in Rockford, Illinois.
Wayne worked most of his life as a commercial construction supervisor, building banks, post offices, as well as many other commercial infrastructures. He thoroughly enjoyed the fellowship of his work colleagues for many years until his retirement. In his free time, Wayne loved to be outdoors, especially hunting and fishing.
Left to honor Waynes memory are his wife, Shirley Veach of Centerville; his brother, Warren Veach of Rockford, Illinois; as well as several extended family members including his cousin, Wayne (Sue) Veach of Centerville.
Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, John and Collene Veach; and a sister, Maria Noll.
Per wishes, cremation has been accorded and there will be no services held at this time. Memorials may be made to Shirley Veach, to be designated in Waynes name at a later date and may be mailed to Lange Funeral Home and Crematory, ATTN: Veach family, 1900 South 18th Street, Centerville, Iowa 52544.
