Wayne Thomas' Obituary
Wayne Thomas, 96, of Cambria, Iowa.
Wayne decided one more planting season was going to be one too many and passed away May 7, 2022.
He was born March 7, 1926 to Roy and Lela (Grismore) Thomas.
He was a hardworking, dedicated farmer and lived all of his life in the Derby and Cambria areas.
Wayne graduated from Cambria High School with the class of 1943.
He was married to the love of his life Donna McCann for 52 years and was married to Betty McCann for 18 years.
He enjoyed watching the Iowa Hawkeyes basketball and football games, the Kansas City Chiefs and KU basketball games.
He accepted the Lord into his life at the Humeston Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife Donna and his wife Betty, his parents, his brother Doyle and his wife Carol Thomas and son-in-law George Thompson.
He is survived by his four children, Gary and wife Beverly Thomas, Pam Bybee, Sandra and husband Dave Dent, Lonnie and wife Cheryl Thomas, ten grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, twelve great, great grandchildren and many relatives and friends.
Memorial donations may be made to your favorite charity or Wayne Community FFA Chapter, Attn: Dan, Wayne Community School, Corydon, Iowa 50060.
Burial will be at 11:30 AM on May 12, 2022 at the Cambria Cemetery, where Wayne was a Trustee for over 30 years. Visitation will be from 10:00 - 11:00 AM at the Thomas Funeral Home in Corydon.
