Wayne Thomas' Obituary
Wayne Allen Thomas, 62 of Unionville Missouri formerly of Centerville passed away Friday, August 28, 2015 at Putnam County Hospital. Wayne was born to Wayne & Gloria (Perry) Thomas on December 26, 1952 in Centerville. Wayne worked several jobs throughout his life. Locally, he was employed by Jef-Scot Metals, C&C Machining and Voltmaster. Wayne enjoyed anything outdoors. When he was not working, Wayne enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also spent hours talking on his C.B. Radio to people under the handle "Viking". While he was married to Betty, the two lived in Numa and raised chicken and goats. Wayne loved animals of all kinds but his favorite were his two dogs (Sadie and Teddy). Survivors include his mother, Gloria Thomas of Centerville, three children: Jeremy Thomas of Centerville, Justin Thomas of Centerville, Melissa Ragan (Wayne) of Unionville, Missouri, step-son, Jayson Haines of Centerville, two grandchildren, eight siblings: Roger Thomas (Amber) of Numa, Gerald Thomas of Jefferson City, Missouri, Dennis Thomas of Kansas City, Sherry Johnson (Brandon) of Gallatin, Missouri, Jimmy Thomas of Jefferson City, Missouri, David Thomas of Centerville, Brenda Leffler (Frank) of Chillicothe, Missouri, Patty West of Centerville and his former wife Betty Thomas of Centerville. He was preceded in death by his second wife Shelia Thomas and his father Wayne Thomas. Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at Thomas Funeral Home in Centerville with Rev. Brad Dittmer officiating. Interment will follow immediately at Oakland Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday with the family present from 6-8 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home in Centerville.
