Services will be held Friday, June 4, at the Randolph Funeral Home in Allerton, with interment in the Allerton Cemetery. Wayne was born near Humeston, Iowa, to William and Olive Roe on May 20, 1923. He graduated from Humeston High School at the age of 16. He went to San Diego to work in an aircraft factory for a few years, and then joined the Army Air Force. He became a navigator and flight officer after attending the cadet school. Wayne served in WWII and was stationed in England, where he flew a B-17. He was briefly married and had a daughter. In 1949, Wayne was divorced and therefore returned to Iowa to find a job. A year later, he met his "dear wife," Rosemary Frampton, at the Chariton roller skating rink in 1950. He always said "it was love at first sight." They married that November at the Humeston Methodist Church and were blessed with three children. Wayne was actively involved with the Methodist church and the community. He retired in June 1983 and enjoyed golfing. He even made a hole-in-one in 2003, on his 80th birthday. He collected John Deere memorabilia and lanterns, enjoyed old Western movies and loved spending time with his large family and numerous friends. Wayne is survived by his loving wife Rosemary; his daughter with his first wife, Barbara Ann Von Nordheim (Lester) and their daughter, Debbie Davis (Mark); his son Michael Wayne Roe (Karen) and their daughters, Kristen Zuck (Chris) and Lisa Roe; his son Randall Lane Roe (Grace Ann) and their sons, Andrew Roe (Bobbie Sue) and Matthew Roe (Jocelyn); and his daughter Debra Rene Cole (David) and their children, Christopher Cole, Mallory Cole and Abigail Cole.
