Wayne Allen Couchman, son of Keith and Carol Couchman, was born June 3, 1952 at Albia, Iowa. He passed on to his heavenly home on July 11, 2014 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines at the age of 62 years, 1 month, 7 days. Having attended Indian Hills Community College he went on to graduate from Northeast Missouri State University at Kirksville. Wayne was united in marriage to Kris Couchman, his high school sweetheart, on August 3, 1974. From that union came one daughter, Nikki. Wayne was raised on the farm, farmed himself for a time and worked at various other jobs throughout his lifetime. He loved the farm, enjoyed caring for animals, especially cats, collecting Civil War memorabilia as well as toy scale tractors. Two of Wayne's greatest joys were watching a movie at home with his cat Sasha on his lap and grilling outside for his daughter. He was also a people person and enjoyed making new acquaintances as well as conversing with old friends. Wayne was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents. His survivors include his wife Kris of Centerville, daughter Nikki of Des Moines and brother Gary of Arkansas.
