Wayne Morrison's Obituary
Wayne Morrison, 76, of Unionville, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, June 15, 2019 at his residence. Wayne was born on January 15, 1943 in Burlington, Iowa to Emery and Violet (Stufflebeem) Morrison. He attended school in West Burlington. Later, he married Donna Miller, who preceded him in death. Wayne served in the United States Army and was a member of the Unionville American Legion. Upon discharge from the Army, he worked for NCR for 45 years. Wayne loved horses and rode until he was no longer able to. He belonged to the Albia Saddle Club for several years. After retiring, he started riding motorcycles. He enjoyed riding his trike, a motorcycle with training wheels as he always called it. He enjoyed traveling with his companion, Louise and had just returned home from their latest trip on Friday. Wayne believed in living life to the fullest. Wayne is survived by his partner, Lola Louise Ingram of Unionville, Iowa; daughter, Monica (Kevin) Coons of Des Moines; son, Devyn Morrison of Phoenix, Arizona; sister, Wanda (LeVerne) Sandberg of Farmington, Iowa; brother, Laverne (Sheila) Morrison of West Burlington, Iowa; grandchildren: Addy Dykstra Morrison of Oskaloosa, Iowa, Steven Coons (fianc, Makayla) and Kristin Coons of Des Moines as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Donna. Memorial services will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 3, 2019 in Unionville, Iowa in the old gymnasium with Melvin Green officiating.
