Wayne Van Van Dike's Obituary
Wayne Van Dike, age 66 of Centerville, Iowa, passed away Thursday, June 10, 2010 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa.
Wayne was born August 12, 1943 in Centerville the son of Leon and Betty Johnson Van Dike. He graduated from Centerville High School in 1963. Wayne drove semi-trucks most of his life and worked for Rick Fenton Trucking. He also painted when he wasn't trucking. Wayne was a member of the Teamsters and the Eagles Club, Centerville.
Wayne is survived by a son Michael VanDike and his significant other Janis Stevens of Centerville; his father Leon Van Dike of Centerville, a sister Charlotte (Larry) Bradley of Centerville, a brother Roger (Janice) Van Dike of Altoona, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his mother Betty Van Dike.
Funeral services will be held 1:30PM Tuesday, June 15, 2010 at the Lange Funeral Home in Centerville with Pastor Ken Mehrhoff officiating. Visitation will be from 11AM until 1:30 PM Tuesday morning at Lange Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Zoar Cemetery.
