Wayne Francis Brockman, age 89 of Plano, passed away Monday, November 27, 2023 at his home. Wayne was born on March 23, 1934 in Charter Oak, Iowa, the son of Carl and Hilda (Bruhn) Brockman. He graduated from Charter Oak High Sch Read Obituary
What a fun and nice guy.
I missed seeing him around the Melbourne areas after his move South.
He was always a delight to be around.
As long as I can remember Wayne and I have always been close. As a child he would a suggestion and it always got me in trouble. Like putting a dirty sock in my fathers mouth. He and I were fortunate to visit his mother in Mountain Home Arkansas for Thanksgiving and Easter after the passing of Wayne's father. When he turned 80 he had a medical issue. I made sure to visit almost every other weekend. And again after his stroke. He was like a second father to me and I always enjoyed his sense of humor. He was a very kind and loving person to everyone he met. He helped me become closer to our Lord and Savior by attending the 1st Baptist Church of Seymour, Iowa. When the church celebrated it's Thanksgiving/ Fall Harvest I always made sure to attend the supper with him. I know he is a better place, but my heart is heavy. I love you forever.
Wayne, was an "one of a kind" type of guy. Hard working, no nonsense , with a heart of gold. He will be very missed.
Wayne was a great friend of my dad - Arthur Lemley. They had a lot of fun together with their shared love of hard work and found plenty of time for laughing together too. I have fond memories of their camaraderie and enjoy thinking of them reunited mowing hay together in that great hay field in the sky.
He was a good neighbor and friend.
