Wanetah Mccloud's Obituary
Wanetah McCloud, daughter of Clint and Lettie (Carpenter) Robb, was born April 24, 1927, in Davis County, Iowa. She married Donald Francis McCloud on April 24, 1948. He Survives. They had one son, Gary Francis McCloud now residing in Savannah, Georgia.
Surviors include her son, Gary, and his wife, Tony; one granddaughter, Angela McCloud; one grandson, David McCloud; a brother Dwight (Rebecca) Robb of Corydon, Iowa; a brother LaVern (Barbara) Robb of Rollo, MO; and a brother, Howard (Judy) Robb of Des Moines, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Wayne, who died in infancy, and a sister, Wanda Baily.
Wanetah was a cook for the Moravia Schools for 20 years, retiring in 1984. She and her husband, Donald, lived on the family farm west of Moravia their entire married life. She was known for her beautiful ceramic work, a hobby she enjoyed and shared with others. She was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church in Moravia and for many years had helped in the kitchen at the Church preparing meals for funeral dinners and other Church functions. She and Donald were members of the neighborhood Sew & So Club.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Tuesday, October 2, 2006 at the Grace Methodist Church, Moravia with Geneva Parsons officiating. Friends may call all day Monday with the family present from 6-8 PM at the Thomas Lange Funeral Home, Centerville, Iowa. Burial will be in the Moravia (Old) Cemetery. A memorial has been established to the Grace Methodist Church and may be left or mailed to the Thomas Lange Funeral Home, 1900 South 18th St, Centerville or condolences at [email protected].
