Wanda Lavinia Vestal's Obituary
Wanda Lavinia Vestal, age 87, of Cincinnati, Iowa, died Friday, August 4, 2006, at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines. She was born the daughter of John and Margaret (Sparks) Stuff on October 21, 1918 in Cincinnati, Iowa. She received her education in the Cincinnati Community Schools.On January 11, 1943, Wanda was united in marriage to Herbert Vestal in Unionville, Missouri. She worked for a time in the Box Factory and at McGraw Edison both in Centerville. She was also a homemaker. She was a member of the Church of God in Cincinnati. She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband, Herbert on February 1, 1983; son, James Vestal; daughter, Barbara Moorman on August 10, 1997; grandson, Rudolph Moorman; brothers, John Stuff, Pete Stuff and Coy stuff; sisters, Stella Woods, Nar Rupe and Bellma Robbins.Wanda is survived by: Three daughters, Ethel Buckallew and her husband, Earl of Overland Park, Kansas, Reva Maurer and her husband, Lud of Shawnee, Kansas and June Leach and her husband, John of Unionville, Missouri; son, Herbert Vestal and his wife, Sharon of Kansas City, Kansas; 22 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and 10 great, great grandchildren.Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 8, 2006 at 11 am at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Centerville, Iowa with Rev. Kristopher Wattlet officiating. Burial will follow at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Cincinnati, Iowa.
