Wanda Hogue's Obituary
Wanda Colleen Hogue, 81 of Numa passed away surrounded by family, Saturday, February 29, 2020 at Rosarios Group Home in Las Vegas, Nevada. Wanda was born to Talton & Cleva (Haner) Hogue on January 24, 1939 in Corydon, Iowa. She received her education from Corydon High School, graduating in 1957. In the late 1950's Wanda left Iowa for the west coast. She resided in Las Vegas, NV for a few years but built a new life in San Diego, CA and was united in marriage to Arlin Risbeck, they later would divorce. To this union came two children: Rhonda and Richard. Wanda would later meet Ray Bruscher who had her third child Jonna. Ray was tragically murdered shortly after Jonna's birth. Wanda later married Ralph Aranda and to this union came her youngest child, Mitch. She raised her four children and later her grandchild in the house Wanda and Ralph bought together. They also owned land in San Diego that housed her favorite horse Diablo. After raising her four children Wanda decided it was time to go home and moved back to her beloved Iowa in the late 1990's. She moved back to her home state with the man she would spend the rest of her life with: Bud Williams. Wanda & Bud owned rental houses in Numa. From the late 90's through the early 2000's, they also owned and operated the Numa Station where they would welcome locals with open arms. Wanda & Bud loved Numa and were always looking for ways to make the small town they loved more enjoyable for all its residents. She enjoyed time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed going out to eat and shopping. Sitting on her porch with her dog, Josie who was a favorite while watching Bud mow the lawn. Survivors include her common law husband, Bud Williams, children: Rhonda Lamm (Ted), Jonna McDonald (Fritz), Mitch Aranda, grandchildren: Shaun Bruscher (Sharee), Shay Botzet (Blake), Brian McDonald, Shanda McDonald, Emery Aranda, Nico Aranda, Enzo Aranda, great grandchildren: Brixton Botzet, Bella Botzet, sister, Wilma Faris (David), sister-in-law, Marilyn Hogue and numerous extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Richard Bruscher, siblings: Don Hogue, Roma Sharp and a great nephew, Dyllan Lawson. A celebration of life will take place, 10:30 am, Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at Thomas Funeral Home in Centerville. Interment will take place immediately after at Corydon Cemetery. The family will be present 1 hour prior to service.
