Walter J. Powers' Obituary
Walter Powers, age 74, formerly of Centerville, Iowa died Monday, September 25, 2006 at the Bloomfield Care Center, Bloomfield, Iowa.
Walter was born January 24, 1932 the son of Walter Powers Sr. and Rosita Roberts Powers. He married Alice Graves December 12, 1950. she preceded him in death.
Walter is survived by his sons; Mitchell G. Powers of Plano, Rickey (Helen) Powers of Centerville, Clint (Joy) Powers of Centerville, Micheal L. Powers of Udell, Danny Powers of Clarinda, Iowa; daughters, Linda (Bruce) Clinkenbeard of Udell, Iowa, Rebecca (Bill) Cover of Seymour, Iowa and Debbie (John) Woodyard of Plano;
grandchildren, Kevin Powers, Sheena Sibert, Conan Clinkenbeard, Jeremiah Clinkenbeard, James Clinkenbeard, Ashley Parcel, Aaron Parcel, Stacey Woodyard, Kimberly Woodyard, Alisha Woodyard, Johnny Woodyard, Danny Power.
Graveside service will be held on Thursday, September 28, 2006 at 2 PM at the Mt. Ararat Cemetery east of Centerville with Pastor Gerald Campbell officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 28, 2006 from 12-2 PM at the Thomas Lange Funeral Home in Centerville. A memorial has been established to the family and may be left at or mailed to the Thomas Lange Funeral Home, 1900 S. 18th St., Centerville, IA 52544.
