W. Ralph Stevens' Obituary
W. Ralph Stevens, age 82 of Promise City, Iowa, passed away Thursday, January 10, 2010 at the Putnam County Care Center in Unionville, Missouri.
Ralph was born December 19, 1927 at Coatesville, MO he son of Walter Stevens and Bertha Heartly Stevens. He graduated from the 8th grade at Livingston School, Davis County. Ralph served in the US Army during WWII and was a member of the Seymour American Legion. He farmed for 60 years north of Promise City. He loved to hunt and fish.
He is survived by a brother Delmar Stevens and his wife Charlotte of Promise City. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held 11AM Wednesday morning, June 16, 2010 at Lange Funeral Home , Centerville. Friends may call Tuesday at the Lange Funeral Home with the family present 6-8PM. Burial will be in the Jones Cemetery. A memorial has been established to the W. Ralph Stevens Memorial Fund and may be left at the Lange Funeral Home. Condolences may be left at www.langefh.com
