Vivian Carter's Obituary
Vivian Carter age 87, died, Monday, September 14, 2009 at Golden Age Care Center in Centerville, Iowa. She was born the daughter of Tom and Golda (Childress) Carter on September 15, 1921 in Centerville, Iowa. She graduated from the Centerville High School in Centerville, Iowa, with the class of 1939. Vivian was employed by the button factory, Steven's Drug, and City Drug and the PM Place all in Centerville. Vivian was a member of the First Baptist Church in Centerville.She is preceded in death by: her parents; sisters, Wanneta and her husband, Jack Lee, and Aletha and her husband, Raymond Williams; nephew, Tommy Williams; Infant niece, Janice K. Williams.Vivian is survived by: a niece, Deanna Allen and her special friend Paul Burnside of Centerville, Iowa; nephew, Carter Lee and his special friend, Lola Durn of Overland Park, Kansas; niece, Ann 'Jackie' and her husband, Jeff Meier of Erie, Illinois; great nieces, Melissa Rice of Johnston, Iowa, Johnna Allen Tavianini and her husband, Paul, of Burbank, California, JeNel Allen Barth and her husband, Mike of Centerville, Iowa, and Dee and her husband, Don Thomas of Dallas Texas; great nephews, Randy and his wife, Shelly Lee of Johnston, Iowa, and Jason and his wife, Sarah of Ankeny, Iowa, and 12 great grand nieces and nephews.Graveside Memorial service will be held Thursday, September 17, 2009 at 2:30 am at the Oakland Cemetery in Centerville with the Rev.
