Virginia Wood's Obituary
Virginia (Fern) Wood, age 88, of Centerville died Thursday, December 11, 2003 at Centerville Nursing and Rehab, Centerville. She was on born on a farm west of Exline, Iowa, April 16, 1915 the daughter of Ray Caster and Leona Oden Caster. She graduated from Exline High School in 1933. She was married to Clyde Edward Wood on June 9, 1935 at Lancaster, MO, he preceded her in death 10-19-1961. She worked at the Button Factory, Williers Drug Store, South End Drug Store, Spurgeons, Raymond's Dairy and Viskase. She was a member of the Exline Christian Church. She survived by a daughter Barbara Bozwell and her husband Bob of Centerville, daughter-in-law Kathryn Wood of New Virginia, granddaughters Cathy Whisler and her husband Jerry of Centerville, Laura Penrith and her husband Brad of Hudson, Iowa, grandsons Bob Jr. Bozwell and his wife Debbie of Centerville, Dustin Bozwell of Centerville and Clyde Edward Wood III of Palmyra, NE; Great grandchildren Mason and Nicole Whisler, Corrie and Jamie Bozwell, Gabriel, Jacob & Grace Penrith, a nephew Wayne Exline of Exline, Iowa. She was preceded in death by a son Clyde Edward Wood Jr., a grandson Chriss Allen Bozwell, 3 sisters Dorothy Caster, Erma Sedgwick, Olive Exline, 1 brother Stanley Caster, and parents. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 PM Saturday afternoon at the Thomas Lange Funeral Home with Pastor Carl Heien officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 12:30 PM until 1:30 PM at the funeral home. The Organist will be Judith Oden and songs ""Wind Beneath My Wings"" and ""On Eagles Wings"" will be sung by Sharon Heien. Casketbearers will be Bob Bozwell Jr., Dustin Bozwell, Ed Wood, Jerry Whisler, Mason Whisler, Brad Penrith and Wayne Exline. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery, Centerville. A memorial has been established to the Exline Christian Church or Drake Ave Chrisitan Church.
