Virginia 'Ginger' Tracy, age 65, of Centerville, Iowa, died Saturday, September 18, 2010 at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa. She was born the daughter of Russell Lee and Alice Pauline (Head) Bright on September 11, 1945 in Centerville, Iowa. She received her education in the Centerville Community Schools.On March 9, 1992, Ginger was united in marriage to Rick Tracy in Las Vegas, Nevada. She worked for a time at McGraw-Edison, Centerville Cable Company and later HyVee all in Centerville. She enjoyed traveling and was an avid bowler.She is preceded in death by: her parents; a sister, Janet Smoot; and a nephew, Kevin McWilliams.Ginger is survived by: her husband, Rick Tracy of Centerville, Iowa; a son, Bill Sales and his wife, Shalita of Promise City, Iowa; a daughter, Renate Deininger and her husband, Tony of Centerville, Iowa; a step-daughter, Crystal Tracy Mayer and her husband, Bill of Oskaloosa, Iowa; and a sister, Nancy McWilliams and her husband, Dallas of Davenport, Iowa; and one grandchild, Samantha SalesFuneral services will be held on Tuesday, September 21, 2010 at 11 AM at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Centerville, Iowa with Rev. Gene Kubli officiating. Burial will follow at the Oakland Cemetery in Centerville. Visitation will be held on Monday, September 20, 2010 from 2 PM till 8 PM at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home with the family present from 6 PM till PM.Memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society or a charity of the donor's choice and can be left at or mailed to the funeral home.
