Virginia Couchman's Obituary
Virginia May Moore Couchman, age 96 of Corydon, Iowa passed away peacefully on November 15, 2020 at Corydon Specialty Care. Virginia was born on May 31, 1924 in Harrison City, Missouri near Bethany. She married Howard Couchman on November 14, 1942. They had two sons; Jack and Jerry Couchman. She worked at Casey's in Corydon for 29 years. After retiring, Virginia enjoyed spending time with her grandkids. She also spent time doing word search and embroidering. She was a member of the Methodist Church in Powersville, Missouri. Virginia was devoted to her family and will be missed by her son, Jerry (Carla) Couchman, daughter-in-law, Linda Couchman, grandchildren: Trevor Couchman and family, Michele Baldwin and family, Lanie Benjamin and family, Ashley Carpenter and family, Peyton Couchman and brother, Amos (Peggy) Moore. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, husband Howard Couchman, son, Jack Couchman, one sister and three brothers, five sisters-in-law and three brothers-in-law. Visitation will be Wednesday, November 18, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home in Corydon. There will be a private family service and interment will be at Shriver Cemetery.
