Virgil Hymes' Obituary
Virgil Hymes, age 86, of Centerville, Iowa died on Monday, July 11, 2011at the Mercy Medical Center in Centerville. He was born the son of Isaac Alan and Lisse A. (Ray) Hymes on August 25, 1924 in Coal City, Iowa. He received his education in the Dean Community School at Dean, Iowa.He served his country with the United States Army and was honorable discharged on December 26, 1951. He worked in the Coal Mines in Appanoose County for many years. Virgil was preceded in death by: his parents; brothers, Bennie and George Hymes; sisters, Iva Davis, Wyneta Pickrell, Bertha Sleeth and Betty Hymes.He is survived by many nieces and nephews.
