Violet Alice Galloway's Obituary
Violet Alice Galloway, age 95, of Waterloo, Iowa and a former Centerville, Iowa resident, died Monday, September 29, 2008 at Manor Care Nursing Home in Waterloo. She was born the daughter of Holly and Laura (Humphrey) Graham on August 9, 1913 in Centerville, Iowa. She graduated from the Centerville Community Schools in 1931.Violet was a member of the 1931 Basketball team that was the runner-up at the Girls State Basketball Tournament which lost by 1 point in overtime. On April 21, 1935, Violet was united in marriage to Everett Galloway in Centerville, Iowa.
