Violet May Douglas' Obituary
Violet May (McKeehan) Douglas, age 90, passed away on March 19, 2023 at Centerville Specialty Care in Centerville, Iowa.
Violet was born to Spencer and Ocie (Faris) McKeehan on February 12, 1933 in Centerville, Iowa. She graduated from Moulton High School with the Class of 1952. Violet was united in marriage to Everett E. Douglas on January 23, 1954 in Centerville, Iowa, and to this union two daughters were born, Sally and Susan.
Violet took great pride in raising her children, and being there for every moment in their lives. In her free time, she enjoyed quilting, flower gardening, and being surrounded by her loved ones.
Left to cherish Violet's memory are her husband, Everett Douglas of Moulton; her daughters, Susan (Craig) Bendixen of Des Moines and Sally (John) Lane of Alabama; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and sister, Nora Sales of Missouri.
Violet was preceded in death by her parents, Spencer and Ocie McKeehan; one sister; and four brothers.
Per wishes, cremation has been accorded. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Burial will take place at Sunset View Cemetery in Moulton.
