Vera Everman's Obituary
Vera A. Everman, 87 of Corydon passed away Thursday, December 3, 2020 at Lucas County Health Center. Vera was born to Sylvester & Alice (Robertson) Goretska on October 1, 1933 in Buckeye, Iowa. She received her education from Corydon High School, graduating in 1951. On August 25, 1951, Vera was united in marriage to Robert Floyd Everman at the Corydon Methodist Church. To this union came one child, Becky. Vera worked several jobs throughout her life, she was a telephone operator for the phone company, she worked at Casey's General Store for a while and finished her working days as a dispatcher at the Wayne County Sherriff's Office. Vera enjoyed quilting, playing cards (Bridge) and time spent with her family. Survivors include her grandchildren: Jason D. Davis (Chelsy), Alicia Keasling (Jimmy), great grandchildren: Dakota Davis, Jasmine Davis, Paxton Davis, Destiny Gilson, Lee Davis, Tara Klein, Trista Klein, siblings: Daniel Goretska (Cheryl), Mary Jane Dustin (Gary) and numerous extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Becky Davis, husband, Robert "Bob" Everman and a brother, Sylvester Dwayne Goretska. Funeral service will be 10:30 am, Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at Thomas Funeral Home in Corydon. Interment will immediately follow at Corydon Cemetery. Visitation will be all day Monday, December 7, 2020 at Thomas Funeral Home in Corydon, from 9:00 am - 6:00 pm.
