We moved to Clio, IA, in December, 1981, to the little parsonage on the NE side of town. Twyla welcomed us, along with a dozen others as we moved in! She was always such an encourager to me personally, and I learned so much from her! One special memory is of the coffees we often had, as ladies of Clio Baptist, at her house! I actually learned to like coffee for the first time! My little daughters picked up on all the ladies expressions of Twyla's coffee by re-playing what they heard, having their own coffee in the bathtub with their tiny cups and saucers! They'd always say, Twyla, this is such good coffee! blush

Great teacher for both my kids at Wayne Elementary and always enjoyed our conversations. Prayers for the Ewing family.
Twyla was the kindest soul I've ever met. Over 25 years ago we came to Clio for my husband to candidate for the pastoral position. She invited us to spend the weekend with her and we instantly fell in love with her. We later moved to Clio Iowa for two and half years. She will always hold a very dear place in our hearts. Until we meet again Twyla. Our hearts go out to the Ewing family.
Twyla was a fun gal,worked at the Elementary with her,she was very dedicated to her kids good or bad,she could handle them all,and they loved her.She loved her farm life and boys,miss her.Nila Veach
