Twillia and I grew up together on the east side of Des Moines. When she married Donald, I was her Maid of Honor. We lost track of each other when they went off to Seminary. While having lunch in Newton one day a couple or three years ago, I saw her and told my husband I thought I knew her so I walked over to her, leaned down and asked if she would mind telling me her name... she said Twillia Williams, I said, I'm Lola. She looked me straight in the eye and said, you ARE NOT. I laughed, she laughed, we hugged and I cried. (I think she did too) She told me she had been searching for me for 60 years. I didn't get to see her often enough because of the physical distance between us, but I will always thank God for the miracle of bringing her back into my life. I loved her and will miss my dear friend, but know that she is gloriously happy in the loving arms of our Lord and Savior. Rest in Peace Dear Old Friend...
