Twila Deahl's Obituary
Twila Deahl, 77, of Exline died Friday February 27, 2004 at Mercy Medical Center in Centerville.
Twila was born in Norwood, Iowa on February 21, 1927 the daughter of Miles and Gertrude (Wilson) Fogle. She married Billy P. Deahl on May 6, 1946 in Springfield, Illinois. Twila was a loving mother who enjoyed needle work, gardening, poetry,reading, traveling and journalism. She graduated from Centerville High School and worked at the button factory later Twila worked at J.C.Penny's where she retired from in 1989. Twila is survived by husband Bill, 7 children; Susan Combs and her husband Jack of McCordsville, Indiana, Vicki Doty and her husband Gary of Stillman Valley, Illinois, Steve Deahl and his wife Kai of Batavia, Illinois,Billie Woodyatt and her husband Rick of Genoa,, Illinois, Peggy Ruckman and her husband Larry of Centerville, Mary Mikels and her husband Rodney of Exline and Yvonne Graham and her husband Todd of Davenport, Iowa; 30 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and a sister Glendoris Enterline of Des Moines, Iowa.
Twila is preceded in death by her parents, one son Wayne Preston Deahl,a daughter Cheryl Ann Ormond; a brother John Fogle; two sisters Lorraine Davis and Hazel Houser.
Funeral Services will be held 10:30 a.m.,Tuesday, March 2 at Thomas Lange Funeral Home with Pastor Gerald Campbell officiating. Visitation will be held Monday 6-8 p.m. at Thomas Lange Funeral Home. Rodney Campbell will sing ""Amazing Grace"" accompanied by Joyce Stufflebeam. Burial will be at Exline Cemetery.
