TRUE Jerome's Obituary
True Jerome, age 99, of Tabor, Iowa, and formerly of Centerville, Iowa, died Sunday, April 9, 2006, at Tabor Manor Care Center in Tabor. She was born the daughter of William Wallace and Margaret Elizabeth (Glover) Freeman on September 29, 1906 on a farm near Plano, Iowa. She received her education in the Centerville Community Schools.On April 11, 1924, True was united in marriage to Samuel 'Leslie' Wilson Jerome in Centerville, Iowa. She was a home maker and a member of the First Baptist Church in Centerville where she was the Choir Director. True sang in the Choir when not directing it and was a vocalist for many funeral services.True was preceded in death by: her parents; husband, Samuel 'Leslie' Jerome; sisters, Luemma Ransom, Ruth Peterson and Cleo Gladwin; one grandson.She is survived by: her sons, Lloyd Jerome and his wife, Barbara of Council Bluffs, Iowa and Wilson 'Bill' Jerome and his wife, Dolores of Fort Madison, Iowa; daughter, Florence 'Betty' Sanders and her husband, Gene of Glenwood, Iowa; twelve grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 13, 2006 at 11:00 am at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Centerville, Iowa with Rev. Lloyd Johnston officiating and Gene Sanders giving the Eulogy. Burial will follow in the Oakland Cemetery in Centerville following the service.
