Travis O'Toole's Obituary
Travis Paul O'Toole, age 38, of Centerville, Iowa died suddenly on Sunday, March 23, 2008 at Mercy Medical Center in Centerville.
Travis was born July 7, 1969, the son of Paul O'Toole and Jeanne (Hiatt) Jacobson in Erie, Pennsylvania. Travis was a 1988 graduate of Centerville High School.
Travis had several positions before he found the perfect business connection and good fortune in the field of landscaping. He received all certifications and accreditations in several aspects of horticulture. Then with a career change, he returned to Centerville, loving the friendliness of a smaller town. Travis had a charming personality that never met a stranger.
Travis was a passionate sports fan, always cheering on the Fighting Irish and his five time Super Bowl champs, the Dallas Cowboys. In his recreational time, he enjoyed weight lifting, boating, and all sports.
Travis is survived by his two children, a daughter, Kelsie Johnson of Centerville, Iowa and a son, Tyan Kratzer of Florida; mother, Jeanne (Hiatt) Jacobson of Phoenix, Arizona; father, Paul O'Toole; grandparents, Max and Betty Hiatt of Centerville, Iowa; sisters, Tina O'Toole, and Nickol Herman both of Phoenix, Arizona; aunt, Marti (Jim) Meffert of Chariton, Iowa; three uncles, Chuck (Becky) Hiatt of Kansas City, Missouri, Steve Hiatt of Centerville, Iowa, and Pat (Michelle) Hiatt of St. Louis, Missouri; and a very large extended Irish family.
Funeral services will be held 1 PM Friday, March 28, 2008 at the Thomas Lange Funeral Home in Centerville with Fr. Timothy Guthridge officiating. Following the service the body will be cremated. Friends and family may gather after services at the Shamrock Apartment Recreation Room in Centerville, Iowa. Visitation will be held Friday at the Thomas Lange Funeral Home with family present from 12-1 PM. A memorial has been established to the family and may be left at Thomas Lange Funeral Home, 1900 S. 18th St., Centerville, Iowa 52544.
