Tom Martin's Obituary
Tom (Burr) Martin age 84 of Moravia, died Sunday February 29, 2004 at mercy Medical Center, Centerville.
He was born in Monroe County the son of Frank and Laura (Derby) Martin on Dec. 11, 1919. He was married to Velta Carter on August 10, 1950 at Chariton, Iowa. He was a member of Farm Bureau and served in the Philippines during W.W.II. He is survived by a his wife Velta, a granddaughter Elaine McCauley of Princeton, IL., a son in law Patrick McCauley of Princeton, IL, a brother Carl Martin of Centerville.
He was preceded in death by his daughter Joyce McCauley, brothers Floyd, Bruce and Basil, and his parents.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday 1:30 PM at the Thomas Lange Funeral Home,Centerville with Pastor Marvin Martin officiating Friends may call Tuesday with the family present from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Iconium Cemetery, Iconium.
