Tom Livengood's Obituary
Tom Livengood, son of Roy and Margaret Livengood, died on January 9, 2021 at the age of 66 after his valiant fight with COVID.
He was united in marriage to Cheryl "Cheri" Stottlemyre on October 10, 1981 in Unionville, Missouri.
He was an amazing man who loved cheering on his favorite baseball team, the Kansas City Royals and taking pictures for the Big Reds. Anyone lucky enough to know Tom knew he loved his family and his faith and love were inspiring.
Tom spent many dedicated years working for Curwood/Bemis in Centerville.
He is survived by his wife, Cheryl "Cheri" and his two children, Brett Livengood and Jamie (Josh) Wiggins; along with his grandchildren, Madyson, Justin and Gabrielle Wiggins. He is also survived by his siblings, Sally Shepard, Connie (Gene) Davis, and Ron (Diane) Livengood; and a brother-in-law, Jim Sherrard.
He was preceded in death by his mom and dad, Roy and Margaret Livengood; his sister, Susan Sherrard; and a brother-in-law, Stan Shepard.
There will be a small family funeral for Tom at this time. An open visitation without the family present will take place from 12 PM-8PM on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at Lange Funeral Home and Crematory in Centerville. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to Cheryl Livengood, to be determined at a later date, and may be mailed to Lange Funeral Home and Crematory, 1900 S. 18th St., Centerville, Iowa, 52544. Condolences may be shared online at www.langefh.com. In the spring, there will be a more open service to celebrate Toms life. We invite you to come during that time. The day and time will be communicated as that date gets closer.
The world will remember Tom for his smile and his love of baseball and Big Reds football. He will be missed not only as a father, papa, and husband but as an amazing man who brought a smile to so many.
