Timothy Michael Thomas' Obituary
Timothy "Tim" Michael Thomas, 65 of Centerville passed away Saturday, March 2, 2024 at his home.
Tim was born on November 23, 1958 in Muskegon, Michigan to Gerald & Jeanne (Lang) Thomas. After high school, Tim enlisted in the United States Army Corp where he served until his retirement. While in the Army, he met his wife; Becky Moorman and they were united in marriage on August 14, 1992.
Tim served his entire career in the United States Army Corp with numerous stops around the globe. He was proud to call himself a veteran with honor. Tim enjoyed serving his country and spent a good portion of his service as an air traffic controller. He was also involved in several classified operations. Of all the spots he served around the globe, Hof, Germany was his favorite. Tim was trained and certified as a Hazwoper. After his service he enjoyed time spent outdoors; fishing, boating and camping. He also enjoyed computer IT work.
Survivors include his wife, Becky Thomas, son, Nick Thomas (Anna), grandson, Avery Thomas, sisters: Rebecca Buelow (Mark), Kay-Dawn Johnson (Jeff) and numerous extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Devon Moorman.
Funeral service will be 10:30 am, Thursday, March 7, 2024 at Thomas Funeral Home in Centerville with Pastor Holly Oden officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at the funeral home with family present from 5:00 - 7:00 pm. Interment will be at a later date in Highland Cemetery near Mystic.
