Tim Montegna's Obituary
Tim Montegna, age 51 of Allerton, Iowa, formerly of Centerville, Iowa, passed away Thursday, July 23, 2015.
Tim was born August 8, 1963 in Centerville, Iowa the son of Samuel and Barbara (Power) Montegna. He graduated from Centerville High School in 1981.Tim worked for years at Kness Manufacturing Company in Albia and was currently working at East Penn Manufacturing in Corydon, Iowa.
He had a passion for cars, which included him both buying and selling numerous vehicles over the years. He was also an avid collector of a variety of antiques and loved attending auctions. Tim was also a good carpenter and had the ability to fix almost anything that needed repaired.
He is survived by a girlfriend, Heidi Leopard; a son, Josh (Rosa) Ewing of Centerville, Iowa; two grandchildren, Spencer and Aubrey Ewing; and two brothers, Joseph (Denise Ashby) Montegna of Centerville and John (Tina) Montegna of Haughton, Louisiana.
Tim was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Sam Montegna; and a nephew Michael Montegna.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM, Thursday, July 30, 2015 at Lange Funeral Home and Crematory in Centerville with Father Mike Volkmer officiating. A visitation will be held on Wednesday at Lange Funeral Home, with the family present from 6-8 PM. Cremation will follow the funeral service. Inurnment will follow at the Oakland Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established to the funeral expenses of Tim Montegna and may be mailed to Lange Funeral Home and Crematory, 1900 S. 18th St., Centerville, Iowa, 52544.
