Thomas J. Brockus, 33 of West Des Moines formerly of Centerville passed away Sunday, August 16, 2009 at his home. Tom was born to Richard & Debra (Grimm) Brockus on January 27, 1976 in Bloomfield, Iowa. He received his education from Centerville High School in 1994. Tom graduated from Vatterott College and was currently attending DMACC in Des Moines. Tom was employed by Sams Club in West Des Moines. He enjoyed computers, photography, genealogy, bicycle riding and time spent with his family. Tom is survived by his father Richard Brockus of Corydon, mother Debra Brockus and her fiancï¿ Donald Anderson of Albia, brother, Matt Brockus(Kathy) of West Des Moines, sister, Angi Brockus of Centerville, a niece, Allyson Brockus of West Des Moines, grandmother JoAnn Grimm of Mystic and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Marvin & Nellie Brockus and George Grimm Sr. and an uncle Marvin Brockus Jr.. A memorial service will be held 1:00 p.m., Thursday, August 20, 2009 at Thomas Funeral Home with Rev. Carl Heien officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior from 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. Inurnment will be in Sunset View Cemetery immediately following the service.
