Thomas Clinton Dorsey's Obituary
Thomas Clinton Dorsey, 79 passed away Monday, June 22, 2026 at Corydon Specialty Care in Corydon, Iowa.
Tom was born in Centerville, Iowa on August 23, 1946 to Keith and Norma (Winegar) Dorsey. He married Margaret Shipley on December 28, 1968, and to this union two children were born: Christopher Wade and DeAnn Renee. They later divorced. On March 28, 1987, Tom was united into marriage with Lisa Fry.
Throughout his life, Tom worked as an over the road trucker, traveling all over the United States. After his time in the semi, he decided he could not quit driving everywhere, and got a job hauling Amish all over southern Iowa. He enjoyed being outside camping and fishing. Tom loved animals, especially his dog FeFe. In more recent years Tom enjoyed spending his time watching old western movies.
Tom is survived by his wife Lisa Dorsey; son, Chris Dorsey (Melissa Short); granddaughters, Savana (Randy) Davenport, Meghan Gould and Hannah Dustin; Melissa Cox-Dustin; siblings, Lindy (Craig) Hellyer, Karen (Duane) Cobb, Lisa Shearon and many nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, DeAnn Dorsey; brother, James Dorsey and brother-in-law, Mark Shearon.
Per the family's wishes there will be no service at this time. Memorial in honor of Tom may be made to the Furever Friends and mailed to Thomas Funeral Home Attn: Dorsey family PO Box 294 Corydon, Iowa 50060.
