Thelma Parcel's Obituary
Thelma (Irene) Parcel, age 73 of Moravia, Iowa passed away Saturday, September 15, 2007 at her residence.
Thelma was born April 15, 1934, the daughter of Albert and Thelma (Stevens) Parcel in Centerville, Iowa. She married Richard Leon Parcel on November 18, 1961 in Unionville, Missouri. She attended Sedan Country School and high school in Gary, Indiana where she was a cheerleader. She worked at the Bluebird and home at Dora Barnes Home.
Thelma is survived by her husband; children, Debbie (Larry) Atkinson of Centerville, Iowa, Tammy (Max) Escrogin of Moravia, Iowa, Bonnie (Richard) Barger of Oskaloosa, Iowa, Robert (Katie) Wireman of Cincinnati, Iowa, Larry (Linda) Wireman of Centerville, Iowa, and Theresa (Donald) Ford of Centerville, Iowa; seventeen grandkids; eleven great grandchildren; and siblings, Donna Medina of Centerville, Iowa, Dorothy Clinkenbeard of Oakland, Nebraska, Alberta Gudine of Des Moines, Iowa, and Linda Smith of Queen City , Missouri. She was preceded in death by 2 sons, Danny Parcel and Kenny Wireman; a grandchild Danielle Wireman; brothers Billy Parcel, Lonnie Parcel, Paul Pool, Babe Parcel and Ray Stevens.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Wednesday afternoon, September 19, 2007 at the Thomas Lange Funeral Home in Centerville with Pastor Joe Hayes and Terry Chapman officiating. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Sharon Chapel Cemetery. A memorial has been established to the family and may be left at or mailed to the Thomas Lange Funeral Home, 1900 S. 18th St., Centerville, Iowa 52544.
