Thelma Jennings' Obituary
Thelma Jennings, 80, of Allerton, passed away Sunday, December 22, 2019 at Wayne County Hospital. Thelma was born on January 21, 1939 to David & Marie (Beachler) Parson in Wilton, Minnesota. Thelma worked in the restaurant business. She later became a caregiver to end her working career. Thelma enjoyed gardening. She was also an animal lover and enjoyed attending church and trips to the casino to play Bingo. She loved people and was always ready to have a great conversation. She was a loving mother to many that were not her children. Four words that best described Thelma: caregiver, homemaker, entrepreneur and storyteller. Survivors include her husband, Robert Jennings; children: Lavon Halvarson, John Halvarson (Kelli), Christina Pulciani and Kimberly Edwards (Martin); 11 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; siblings: Daisy Parson, Billy Parson and numerous extended family members. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers: Earl, David, Rollin, Lester and George Parson. She was also preceded by a sister, Betty. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at the Allerton Presbyterian Church.
