Thelma Clark's Obituary
Thelma Leone Clark, age 98 of Centerville, Iowa passed away December 19, 2008 at Golden Age Care Center.
Thelma was born February 1, 1910, the daughter of Pleasant and May (Johnson) Davenport in Kellerton, Iowa. She was one of five children. On July 4, 1927 she married Versil (Bill) Clark who preceded her in death on May 15, 1979. Three children were born to this union; Bobbie Gene Clark, Ramona May (Clark) Thomas and Dixie Lee (Clark) Sharp. She was a great cook and enjoyed taking care of her plants.
Thelma is survived by her daughter, Ramona Thomas of Centerville, Iowa; a sister, Virgene Huffman of Broken Arrow, OK; twelve grandchildren; twenty-four great grandchildren; many great-great grandchildren, nephews, nieces and other family members. She is preceded in death by her husband; parents; a son; and a daughter.
Funeral services will be held 2 PM, Monday, December 22, 2008 at the Lange Funeral Home with Pastor Terra Amundson officiating. Burial will follow at the Haines Cemetery near Centerville, Iowa. A visitation will be held Monday, from 1-2 PM prior to the service. A memorial has been established to the First Methodist Church and may be left at or mailed to the Lange Funeral Home, 1900 S. 18th St., Centerville, Iowa 52544.
