Teresa J. Staggs, age 66, of Seymour, died Monday, January 09, 2012, peacefully at her home with her husband and children by her side. Teresa was the daughter of Bobby K. and Avis E. (Camp) Brummitt and was born February 28, 1945, in Salina, KS. On November 4, 1962 she married Charles A. Donophan; on June 17, 1984 she married Hubert A. Staggs. Teresa wore many professional hats. She worked as a butcher, was in retail, a CNA and her last job was helping others at the Seymour Resource Center. Survivors include her husband, Hubert of the home; four daughters and sons-in-law, Terry and Rodney Shoop of Marceline, MO; Delores and Randy Wegener of Lone Jack, MO; Sherri King of Shawnee Mission, KS and Terri and Rob Joiner of Carlisle, IA; five sons and daughter-in-laws, Dwayne Donophan of Dover, DE; Larry and Lori Staggs of Burlington, IA; daughter-in-law Kathy Staggs of North Liberty, IA; Gary and Jody Staggs of Oskaloosa, IA; and Kevin and Linda Staggs of Seymour, IA; 18 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law Butch & Carolyn Brummitt of Pollock, MO and Rena Manley of Kansas City, MO; 5 nieces; other relatives and many dear friends. She was also preceded in death by her parents and son Steven Staggs.
