Susan Hirsch's Obituary
Susan "Sue" Carol Hirsch, age 60 of Centerville, Iowa, passed away Tuesday, April 7, 2020 in her home. She was born on November 9, 1959 to Carol & David Northey. Sue grew up in Urbandale, Iowa, where she attended school, before moving to Centerville where she spent the remainder of her life. She worked most of her career providing the housekeeping and clean laundry at the Super 8 Motel and Golden Age Care Center in Centerville. Sue loved her granddaughter, Valerie, very much and was always telling Valerie how much she meant to her. She cared for her family over everything else and enjoyed spending as much time as she could with her daughter Malinda (Zach) and granddaughter. Dinner dates were always a favorite for Sue. She enjoyed helping out her friends and spending time with them, living up to her reputation of having one of the sweetest and biggest hearts, which she always wore on her sleeve. Sue had a smile that no one could ever forget, and an orneriness that no one could compete with. It was her way or the highway! She was loved so very much by everyone who knew her and will be missed dearly. But her memory will remain alive in the hearts of those who loved her! Sue was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her daughter Malinda Buckley (Zach Elarton), granddaughter Valerie Elarton, and son Joshua Cahalan. Sue will continue to look after each one of us from her new home up above.
