Steven Ball's Obituary
Steven Ball, 41 of Centerville passed away Sunday, March 29, 2015 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. Steven was born on January 23, 1974 in Long Beach, California to Pat & Kathy Ball. He received his education from Santa Fe High School. Steven moved to Iowa in 2001. On August 14, 2004 he was united in marriage to Dawn Blumer. Steven was employed at Bemis (Curwood) where he worked in extrusion. He loved sports of all kinds. He enjoyed watching the St. Louis Rams, Los Angeles Dodgers, Los Angeles Lakers and followed his beloved Iowa Hawkeyes in all their sporting events. Steven also enjoyed camping, golfing and bowling. Survivors include his wife Dawn Ball of Centerville, step-son, Skyler Blumer (Destiny) of Centerville, brother, Sean Ball (Danene) of Ontario, California, sister, Aubrey, Ball of New York, NY, two nephews; Sean Ball Jr. of Ontario, California, Jace Ball of Ontario, grandmother, Anita Ball of Mystic, Iowa, uncle, Frank Ball of Mystic and an aunt, Lori Ball of Lakewood, California. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, Frank Ball Sr. of Lakewood, California, Walt & Mary Gillen of Lakewood, California. A visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at Thomas Funeral Home in Centerville. Cremation will take place following the visitation.
